Conference venue. Hotel Holiday Inn **** - Moskovsky pr., 97 À, Saint-Petersburg, 196084, Russia.
Climate. June is one of the warmest months in Saint-Petersburg. The average temperature is 18 C0 – 20 C0. June is famous for its long summer daylight hours, the sun hardly sets at all and this period has become known as the 'White Nights'. Hot sunny days are not rare, but you never know when it is going to rain. It is wise to bring your umbrella and a windproof raincoat or jacket.

Time difference in Saint-Petersburg is plus 3 hours to Greenwich.

Currency. National currency is Ruble.  You can exchange Euro and US Dollars at the airports, at reception desks of hotels, banks or other exchange offices which are located at different corners of the city. Exchange rate for 1 US Dollar is approximately 29 Rubles (01th of May 2010).

Import of foreign currency. The obligatory declaring in customs declaration is required to money, equivalent up to 10 000 US Dollars

Transportation. One trip by metro costs 22 Rubles regardless of the distance (or 0.8 US Dollars), by bus - up to 22 Rubles (or 0.8 US Dollars) depending on the bus line, but also regardless of the distance.

Language. Official language is Russian. You’ll hardly find an adult who speaks English but still there are.
European languages especially English are more spread among young people.

Power supply. Electricity in Russia is 220-volt current. Plugs are European Standard with two round pins.
