Conference Location and Venue

The 8th International Wheat Conference (IWC) will be held June 1 – 4, 2010 in historical St. Petersburg with many museums and architectural masterpieces.

Prior to the conference (May 30-31, 2010) the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative Technical Workshop will take place.

The city hosts world-famous N.I. Vavilov Research Institute of Plant Industry (VIR) which is among the main conference organizers.

The conference will take place in the modern Congress Hall of the Holiday Inn Hotel conveniently located near the center of the city and all of its attractions.

The VIR’s partners for holding the conference in Saint-Petersburg are Russian companies «FarEXPO» (professional exhibition and congress organizer) and travel agency «BGS-tour» who are responsible for hotel accommodation, visa support and other logistics during the conference.
